Good value, minor snag

I got Cloakist to put a custom domain on my Coda page. The core service works well; my Coda doc is now on my own URL, which was the main goal. The custom CSS option is a nice touch for branding. My only small issue was with customer support. I had a question about setting up the favicon, and it took about 36 hours to get a response. Not terrible, but a bit longer than I hoped. Overall, it's a solid solution for the price, especially compared to trying to build something similar from scratch.

Consistent service, easy setup

I've used Cloakist a few times now, mainly for Notion custom domains. This last one for a new client was just as straightforward as the first. The setup process is quick, and the instructions are clear. Never had any issues with downtime or performance, which is why I keep coming back. It just works reliably, every time.

Airtable custom domain works

Needed an Airtable custom domain. Cloakist did the job. Setup was fast. Domain is live. Good service.

Can I use Cloakist to put a custom domain on my Typeform landing page? Or is it just for Notion and Airtable?

R Renee Brooks 1 month ago
Yep, Typeform is on the list! I'm using it for a Typeform survey right now, works perfectly.

A Andre Bennett 1 month ago
They've added a bunch more platforms. Typeform should be fine, and I think Canva too.

Is Cloakist legit? Heard about some services like this being a bit shady or unreliable.

D Daisy B. 1 month ago
Totally legit. Been using them for over a year for my business site on Notion and it's been rock solid. Never had any downtime or issues.

S Sam B. 4 weeks ago
Yeah, it's real. They've been around for a while and lots of people use them for Notion. No shady stuff here.

I saw something about a lifetime deal once, are those still around? Or is it all subscriptions now?

S Shane 1 month ago
They pop up occasionally, especially on places like AppSumo. You gotta be quick though, they usually sell out fast. Keep an eye out!

Pretty sure those are limited-time things. I got in on one last year, but I haven't seen any new ones lately. They mostly do annual discounts now, I think.

Is Cloakist better than just using a simple redirect from my domain to my Notion page? What's the real advantage?

C Cody T. 3 weeks ago
Oh yeah, way better. A redirect just pushes people to the ugly Notion URL. Cloakist makes it look like your domain is actually hosting the page, so your branding is consistent and it helps with SEO too. Plus you can do custom CSS.

Redirects are kinda hacky. Cloakist makes it look professional, like you actually built a custom site. And the SEO stuff is a big deal.

Thinking of switching from Super.so to Cloakist. Anyone have experience with both and can tell me the big differences?

D David 1 month ago
I moved from Super to Cloakist. Both are good, but I found Cloakist a bit more flexible with custom scripts and CSS. Also, the pricing felt a bit better for what I needed. Super felt a bit more locked down.

Super is good for quick setups, but Cloakist offers more control, especially if you want to really customize the look and feel. Plus, Cloakist works with more platforms, not just Notion.

Hey, thinking about getting Cloakist for my Notion site. Does it actually help with SEO or is that just marketing speak?

J James H. 3 weeks ago
Yeah, it totally does! I used it for my portfolio on Notion and saw a noticeable bump in search rankings after setting it up. Way better than just sharing the raw Notion link.

From what I understand, it basically makes your Notion page look like a regular website to search engines, so they can actually index it properly. So yes, it should help.

How many domains can I connect if I get a regular plan? Is it just one, or can I do a few?

E Elena 3 weeks ago
It depends on the plan you pick, I think. The basic ones are usually one or two, but they have higher tiers for more. You'd need to check their pricing page to be sure.

A Alex 2 weeks ago
AFAIK, the standard plans usually start with one domain, but you can upgrade or get add-ons for more if you need them. I'm running three on mine.

Do they ever do Black Friday sales? Or should I just jump on the annual discount now?

N Neil Marsh 1 month ago
Oh, for sure they do Black Friday and Cyber Monday. That's usually when their best deals, sometimes even lifetime offers, pop up. If you can wait, it might be worth it.

I Ivy Foster 1 month ago
Yeah, they usually have something around that time. I'd hold off if you're not in a rush, you might snag a better discount then.
